We love balls, especially green tea balls! No, I’m not Cartman, but I do make up a batch of Bliss Balls every week. They are a great snack for the baby, make an on-the-go breakfast for our tradey (Australian lingo for anyone who works in construction). Sometimes, I just crush them all myself. This particular edition is an ode to my obsession with all things green tea ever since I tasted a Green Tea Kit Kat from Japan. A couple of American friends passed through Sydney on their way back from Japan and brought the life changing GTKKs. Since, my last order from Japan, I’ve decided to cut back and rely on Matcha powder for my green tea fix. Matcha powder is a great addition to so many treats and snacks. Don’t even try a Green Tea Kit Kat, they’re an expensive and addictive habit.
You can use whatever nuts you have hanging around. For this batch of Bliss Balls, I used mixed raw nuts. I like to use cashews for a cookie-tasting variety. Also, you’ll need a food processor or Vitamix. Get your little friends to help out in the rolling and coating of the balls.
I keep mine in the refrigerator until I’m eating them so they keep form.
Matcha, Cacao & Coconut Green Bliss Balls
Makes 10-15 Bite Sized Balls
Time: 15 Minutes

3/4 Cup Shredded Coconut + 1 TSP Matcha Powder
1 Cup Pitted Dates
1 1/3 Cups Nuts of your choice (I used mixed raw nuts)
1 TSP Matcha Powder
1 TBSP Cacao Powder
3 TBSP Coconut Oil
Place shredded coconut and 1 TSP Matcha powder in the food processor. Blitz until chopped fine. Place into a medium bowl. Next, place the remaining ingredients in food processor and pulse until blended. Remove blade and scrape down sides. Roll small handful of mixture into a ball. Place in reserved bowl of coconut-matcha mix and coat. Place onto tray. Repeat with remaining mixture and refrigerate.
